This customer was experiencing significant leaks, with most of them originating at the edge of the roof. Further inspection showed that water had leaked in here and caused significant damage, leading to the wood and fascia rotting and deteriorating. The challenge here was repairing the roof in a way that would prevent these same issues with leaks from happening again.
Replacing the fascia and wood along the edge of the roof was the best way to keep this roof watertight and prevent any future leaks. We stripped off the damaged wood and replaced it, creating a strong foundation for the edge of the roof. Our crew then installed ice and water shield before nailing in the fascia. What this does is create a barrier that prevents leaks from happening and water from getting into the roof. With the project complete, leaks will not be a problem for this happy customer anytime soon.
